Oconee County Elementary School (OCES) is a public school located in Oconee County, Georgia. OCES is honored to be one of the 2009 recipients of the Georgia Schools of Excellence Award for the highest achievement across the state. Oconee County Elementary is in the top 10% of schools in Georgia as measured by assessment in reading and mathematics. OCES has also received the 2011 Platinum Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) Award for "Highest Performance" on state assessments from the Governor's Office of School Achievement. The highest award presented! Award-winning elementary and middle schools must meet criteria, which are based on the results of the most recent two years of Criterion Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) (grades 3-8 in reading, English/language arts, math, social studies, and science) Criteria are based on Full Academic Year (FAY) students. The CRCT classifies achievement in terms of the percent of students who a) do not meet standards, b) meet standards, and c) exceed standards.
