Each year, ten percent of the proceeds from the race are given to a selected charity. teh charity is selected by the individual or family of the individual to whom the race is dedicated. Mr. Odom has selected Extra Special People as the charity for this year's race.
Registration forms for the race may be found on the MBMS website or picked up in the front office. You do not have to be a runner to participate. Walkers are welcome to join in on the fun as well! Please invite all your family members and friends to register for the races also. All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race T-shirt!
We are still looking for race sponsors. If you have a company or know of a company that would like to have their logo on the back of our race T-shirt, please contact Scott Burrell at email@example.com by January 6th.

We are excited to announce that this year 7th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to attend a trip to Washington, D.C. If your child is completing a Social Studies enrichment project, or would like to complete one next semester, they qualify to attend this wonderful educational opportunity! The program we will be joining is called, "Close Up." Close Up's Middle School Programs are designed to give students hands-on opportunities to interact with government and history in Washington, D.C. Close Up is more than just a tour. It is a fast-paced, fun-filled, and educational experience in one of the world's most dynamic cities. Their staff uses Washington's key institutions and historic sites as interactive classrooms to help students expore the links between history and the rights and responsibilities of citizens today.
Here are some forms that tell about some fundraising opportunities for this trip:
